Pourpoint…
November 14, 2007 at 9:00 pm | In Uncategorized | 1 CommentIts my version of the Charles de Blois Pourpoint- the 10 piece sleeve really does allow for great range of motion.
My involvement with this particular pattern came about several years ago when a certain dance Laurel brought a copy of the pattern over to my friend’s house. On a lark we set about enlarging the pattern (which fit on an 8 1/2 X 11 in piece of typing paper) to fit our stocky fighter husbands. We ended up measuring our men and then doing a bit of math and running down to the local Kinko’s to have them blow up the pattern on their big blue print copier, or whatever it is. So-that secret is out! It really saved a lot of headaches, I suck at transferring and altering patterns as detailed as this one.
I’ll have to post a picture when the thing is done. I shall be quite proud, I imagine, and relieved!

10 pieces just for a sleeve?? Holy crap! You had better post pictures. Do you remember when you showed me how to make those stuffed mice with the dress and what’s her face made the girl and boy bunny? I never finished the sleeve on the dress, and it still sits in my closet not finished.
Hehe. I can’t bring myself to get rid of it though. You are amazing!
